Industry Credit Groups

The National Association of Credit Management, “NACM,” first established industry credit groups back in the late 1800’s. Today, NACM affiliates host over a thousand groups around the country in just about every industry. The NACM Heartland affiliate is no exception.

The purpose of credit groups is to establish a forum allowing credit managers within the same industry to exchange credit information. The factual A/R information exchanged can be either current or historical information. With the exchange of this information the credit professional can independently determine the payment practices of an account. Credit groups also provide an opportunity for credit managers to share information on new credit management ideas and develop business relationships within their industry. Educational seminars often are part of a planned meeting.

NACM Heartland currently hosts national, regional, and local credit groups in the fields of agriculture, animal health, and construction. These groups meet regularly under the oversight of the NACM. Credit groups that are hosted by NACM Heartland can take advantage of the Inet Credit Exchange (ICE) system to facilitate and enhance the benefits of the Group.
