In recent years there has been a steady decline in recoveries from federal bankruptcy courts. Distributions to unsecured creditors have declined considerably. The only parties receiving any significant distributions from the courts are secured creditors and it appears that this trend will continue.

NACM Heartland has partnered with NCS to provide UCC Filing services to its members. NCS perfects Security Interests offering the industry's only full service, flat-fee filing program.

Service begins with the Financing Statement Filing Program. NCS can access your business, break down your distribution channel as well as recommend and file both Blanket and Purchase Money Security Interest Filings. All you provide—after the initial document startup phase — is the name and address of your customer. NCS does the rest. Corporate Certificate documents are obtained confirming and providing the required filing information; UCCs and Security Agreements are generated, printed and signed. Checks are prepared and the filings are electronically transmitted to the appropriate state and county offices. Follow-up dates are scheduled and searches are initiated (if applicable). When searches are returned, notification letters are prepared, mailed and tracked via Federal Express (if applicable). Once the process is completed, all original documents are returned to you. NCS will maintain an online file containing filing details along with electronic photocopies of all security documents. Reporting and monitoring of expirations are handled via NCS' Online Services portal.
